Meanwhile, back at the kitchen, the plumber has done a magnificent job of moving the pipes
from their old chase next to the sink (note the hole in the cabinet where the pipe used to be)
to their new position next to the pillar.
Now the pillar is the single visual break in the entire space between the old house
and the new addition, and it looks great!
